“Whereas health is conventionally thought of as a static state to be maintained, Moshe defined health as a dynamic condition, the ability to recover from shocks. Whether originating from within or without, from sickness or accident, from violence or social upheaval shocks perturb our balance; health is the capability of regaining balance and standing poised again on one’s feet.”

– Mark Reese, from Moshe Feldenkrais: A Life in Movement

If you’re feeling anxious, stressed-out, or overwhelmed by everyday life and need help “regaining balance,” join Fritha and Sarah for a workshop that combines Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) with the Feldenkrais Method®. You will be supported in building emotional resilience and a sense of agency within life’s challenges.

Resilience is defined as an ability to regain our balance, to bounce back, to recover quickly, to be flexible and adaptable in response to difficult situations in our environment. In other words, resilience supports our general well-being and health.

The complementary modalities of EFT and The Feldenkrais® Method provide powerful synergies in helping us access this potential. By going slowly, making connections between past experiences and current beliefs and behavior patterns, we can change our habits and live with more ease and joy. We can build our resilience and our sense of agency.

EFT tapping is a gentle technique that helps reduce stress and the effects of prior experiences so that we can stay present to the moment, responding with choice rather than (re)acting without choice.

The Feldenkrais Method® provides opportunities to sense, through movement, our habits and patterns and how they relate to our sense of ourselves in the world. Each Feldenkrais® Awareness Through Movement® lesson is unique and offers simple, gentle movements to experience ourselves in new ways.

Combining EFT tapping followed by Awareness Through Movement® lessons offers participants the opportunity to explore their experience of posture, emotions, personal beliefs, and self-image, and how behavior and habits are reflected in body and mind.

Through experiencing ourselves in new ways, we can regain balance in our lives and different choices become possible.

No previous experience necessary!
