Myths of Exercise – Discover what conventional fitness often leaves out
October 4 @ 1:30 pm – 6:00 pm EDT

Free in-person event during Feldenkrais® Awareness Week
What if some of what you’ve been taught about exercise isn’t quite right?
Join four New York Feldenkrais practitioners for an afternoon exploring common assumptions about posture, strength, effort and movement. Each 60-minute session combines an accessible introduction with a guided movement experience, giving you an opportunity to discover how paying attention to sensation can change the way you organize yourself and move.
You’ll explore how finding your vertical axis can support easier movement, why simply adding strength to inefficient patterns may not be the answer, and how the Feldenkrais Method® can offer a different perspective on exercise.
No previous Feldenkrais experience is necessary.
Lessons include movements in sitting, standing and lying down.
