Correlative Assessment for Practitioners, Therapists, & Somatic / Bodywork Professionals – A Skeletal Continuity Feldenkrais® Perspective

October 3 @ 10:00 am 11:30 am EDT

Most typically, the symptoms and problems our clients or patients bring to us exist in the category of chronic pain and / or movement difficulty and occurring within a particular body region or part.

However, the atypical solution exists more sustainably & systemically – not so much within an isolated body part or region – but rather in the relationship between parts, and especially in how one’s experience of relationship between parts is perceptually correlated (and / or mis-correlated or disconnected) in the use of whole self.

In this demonstration mini-workshop, Dr Tim Sobie, PT, PhD, and Feldenkrais Method Practitioner® will introduce his 30+ years’ experience in developing a Feldenkrais + Physical Therapy-based “Correlative Assessment” to help clarify & identify invariant patterns (habits), and self-perpetuating common determinants in faulty self-organization being cross-correlated across 4 categories of observation + 4 contexts of body position / orientation & within the predictable-structural framework of ‘skeletal continuity.’

Through this, practitioners can build a ‘first impression trust-empathy-confident relevance’ relationship upon meeting the client for the first time.
