What does stillness really feel like? How do we even know that we are moving? Movement and stillness seem to be inverses of one another, but, in concert, they make up the very stuff of our lives—how we do, how we rest, and all the thoughts and feelings that accompany doing and resting. Becoming still can sharpen our sense of movement, and moving with awareness can make us more still.

During this retreat, we will move, still, and move again, observing our internal rhythm through gentle movement, meditation, breath work and personal reflection. Feldenkrais® Awareness Through Movement® will be our primary vehicle, accompanied by occasional references to ‘tuning‘, yoga and creative practice.
