SUMMARY:Functional Integration Demonstrations
DESCRIPTION:The Feldenkrais Method® is not only movement classes but also contains an in-person\, hands-on approach called Functional Integration®. We will gather next to our office on the back patio of the almost-open Pup Wine Bar. \nAll participants will be invited to throw their name into a hat. We will draw two names\, and those lucky winners will experience a 30-minute Functional Integration® session\, while others are invited to watch the pre- and post-transformation of the two people. \nYou have likely never seen anything like Functional Integration®. And watching two sessions side-by-side unfold very differently will be entrancing. \nOur office will also be open next door to wander around and even take a fun Feldenkrais® quiz. \nNo need to register. Just show up. It’s all FREE.

SUMMARY:Topsy Turvey for the Hips\, Spine and Shoulders
DESCRIPTION:This session\, in our day-long explorations\, will include both subtlety and challenge. The lesson was originally created to help martial artists with the side kick.\n\nThe lesson can be scaled to someone who doesn’t move a lot or has pain\, to someone who is athletic and active. All will find a challenge specific to their own needs. As always\, we will be coaching a gentle\, nonjudgmental approach because that is where deep motor cortex transformation occurs.\n\nBring your mat. This will be done lying down. As long as you are comfortable getting to and from the floor\, you can safely participate in this lesson.\n\nSpace is limited. So show up early and claim a spot!\n\nNo need to register. Just show up. It’s FREE.\n\n

SUMMARY:Regain\, Maintain Lifelong Agility\, a In-Person Touch to Inform Seminar
DESCRIPTION:AGILITY means being able to move easily in any direction quickly and lightly. This requires good balance\, a brain that senses whole body action\, easy joints\, and an even give and take between the flexors and extensors of all muscles working in synergistic patterns. \nWe were Agile once – why not now?   Could it be that over the years age\, injuries\, habitual overuse\, and disease interfered? \nThe good news is that you can regain more agility\, or maintain what you have\, when you consider looking at how patterns can interfere with mobility and ways to interrupt old patterns with easier\, more efficient movement without pain or strain. \n“This is the one Seminar that put all pieces together for me. Do Less to Do More is a mantra I use every day for myself and tell all my patients to do so as well.”  — C.B.\nTouch to Inform Seminars offer Concepts from The Feldenkrais Method® with applications within your daily practice; as personal coaches\, therapists or educators interested in guiding your clients to be more efficient and thus safe in their actions. [or yourself as a student and your own personal coach]. \nThis LIVE\, IN-PERSON Seminar offers Awareness Through Movement® lessons with discussions and partner collaboration to support clarity and integration.

SUMMARY:Classic Lessons with a Jeff Haller Twist: 12 Saturdays in One Year
DESCRIPTION:These monthly workshops probe into topics for Feldenkrais® Practitioners and members of the public. \nThere are deep underpinnings that are surprisingly foundational to optimizing our experience in Awareness Through Movement®. Historically\, these underpinnings have been glossed over by primarily focusing on differentiation and by not delving into the deep principles that underpin these lessons. In these workshops\, which will be interwoven into a matrix of ideas and potentialities\, we will unearth the “Elusive Obvious” and gain a perspective on what it means to delve into the questions that\, left unstudied\, reduce what we can know and thus the clarity of what we can experience. \nEach workshop is three hours and includes ATM® lessons and discussion. \nClick to register for one\, some\, or all the sessions—past sessions are recorded and viewable: \n\n\nJanuary 31\, 2026: Baby Crawling and Asymmetry: Understanding Patterns in Movement \n\n\nFebruary 28\, 2026: Reversibility \n\n\nMarch 28\, 2026: Sitting to Standing: Jeff’s Perspective \n\n\nApril 25\, 2026: Gravity & Ground Forces \n\n\nMay 30\, 2026: The Elements of Behavior: Thinking\, Sensing\, Feeling\, Acting \n\n\nJune 13\, 2026: Specificity of Support: Related to Muscular Tonus & Elegant Action \n\n\nJuly 18\, 2026: Conceptualization & its Effect on Learning \n\n\nAugust 29\, 2026: Perspectives on Walking \n\n\nSeptember 26\, 2026: Attention\, Intention\, & Awareness Related to Anxiety \n\n\nOctober 24\, 2026: Classic Lessons with a Jeff Haller Twist \n\n\nThere are many Awareness Through Movement® lessons that are considered to be seminal and “classically taught.” In this session\, we will explore several “classic lessons” from a different perspective\, leading to a very different experience and understanding of potentials within ourselves in the lesson. \n\n\n\n\nNovember 21\, 2026: Illuminating Your Skeleton \n\n\nIn general\, people\, including Feldenkrais® practitioners\, have a vague sense of their skeleton and the precision with which we can learn to move. Our musculature and the ability to organize ourselves for action is dependent on our specificity of support. Moment by moment\, we can learn to organize our skeleton to counteract the force of gravity\, and learn to move from the inside-out. In this sense\, we can learn to utilize our attention and intention to illuminate our skeleton as we act. We learn to move from the marrow of our bones\, so to speak\, into expressing ourselves into life. \n\n\n\n\nDecember 19\, 2026: Paradigm Shifts: Pursuing Outcomes\, Learning to Care for Yourself \n\n\nPerhaps this should have been the first class on the first Saturday of the year. The paradigm of engaging in the world for gain\, to improve our self\, to gain attention\, is a different paradigm from the world in which you learn to care for your own life and bring to life your most cherished sense of being and self.

SUMMARY:Stillness and Motion | An In-Town Retreat
DESCRIPTION:What does stillness really feel like? How do we even know that we are moving? Movement and stillness seem to be inverses of one another\, but\, in concert\, they make up the very stuff of our lives—how we do\, how we rest\, and all the thoughts and feelings that accompany doing and resting. Becoming still can sharpen our sense of movement\, and moving with awareness can make us more still. \nDuring this retreat\, we will move\, still\, and move again\, observing our internal rhythm through gentle movement\, meditation\, breath work and personal reflection. Feldenkrais® Awareness Through Movement® will be our primary vehicle\, accompanied by occasional references to ‘tuning‘\, yoga and creative practice. \n**Please note actual schedule:\nTWTh: 9:30am-2:00pm; Fri 9:30am-12noon
