SUMMARY:Beginnings Becoming Endings And Back To Beginnings
DESCRIPTION:How do we listen\, appreciate what we sense\, then ‘soften the edges of our habits’ to find the space where learning and new possibilities can emerge?\nThis delicate balance is key to fostering a dynamic and responsive learning environment.\nBy cultivating a mindset of curiosity and openness\, we can tune in to the nuanced signals of our experience\, and respond in ways that honour our own unique journey.\nIn practice\, this involves slowing down\, creating moments of stillness to truly hear and feel what is being communicated. It means suspending our immediate judgments and preconceptions\, allowing ourselves to be guided by the unfolding interaction.\nBy becoming clearer about HOW we create a learning environment for ourselves\, we learn to create a shared space of inquiry when working with others\, where both practitioner and client can explore new ways of moving\, thinking\, and being. \nThe event will be on 4 evenings (Sunday\, Wednesday\, Sunday\, Wednesday)\, each 2.5 hrs. \nThe Instructor is Julie Peck. a senior Feldenkrais® practitioner\, trainer\, and educator with decades of experience teaching the Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education internationally. She has served as an Educational Director and Trainer in multiple Feldenkrais® Professional Training Programs and is widely respected for the clarity\, depth\, and rigor of her teaching.\nJulie teaches advanced trainings\, post-graduate workshops\, and practitioner-focused intensives\, where she challenges students to observe more carefully\, intervene less\, and allow learning to emerge from experience.

SUMMARY:MARROW: somatics\, embodiment & meditation retreat
DESCRIPTION:MARROW: an emergent experience of aliveness & connection\na retreat in somatics\, embodiment & meditation\, facilitated by Sandrine Harris (GCFP\, SEP\, RSMT/E) \nMARROW—like the life-giving and potent marrow of our bones—is a generative experience of unearthing aliveness. It is a process of unlearning patterns of thinking\, feeling\, and moving that have been forged unconsciously over time\, and often from outside messages. In this repatterning together through embodied presence and connection\, there are invitations into quiet internal explorations\, meaningful conversations and listening\, personal writing\, flows of creativity\, sensory movement\, and meditation for waking up to our whole human experience. \nThrough a weave of somatics (body sensing and process)\, embodiment (presence of the layers of mind\, heart\, and body)\, and meditation (in both movement and stillness)\, we integrate qualities of the living we are in\, and out of the push of doing. Together\, we forge a path connecting our inner landscapes with belonging—in community and within the natural world. \nThis program offers a pathway for processing and integrating our lived experience through non-verbal\, sensory pathways. It is a way of waking up to ourselves\, sensing our inner rhythms\, and being with grief\, joy\, and everything in between. \nIn this program\, you will experience: \n– Guided movement flows for all bodies and everybody\, drawn from dance\, martial arts\, Feldenkrais® \, and more\n– Somatic sensory movement for learning to listen through and with our bodies\n– Guided meditation\, in supported laying and sitting\, and walking meditation indoors and outdoors\n– Forest bathing and an embodied exploration of connection with the natural world\n– Creative mark-making on paper with paints\n– Personal writing\, reflection\, and sharing\n– Rest\, as a part of the process of honoring our bodies and remembering the dignity of rest\n– You will emerge from MARROW feeling embodied\, present\, and connected with a greater sense of belonging. \nNOTE: No experience with somatics\, movement\, or meditation is needed to join us. All adults 20+ years of age are welcome. This program is facilitated through a trauma-sensitive approach. The final evening includes an energizing\, celebratory movement party.

SUMMARY:Freeing Your Communication Chakra\, freeing the tongue\, jaw\, and neck
DESCRIPTION:The Communication Chakra system\, located at the center of your throat\, is the gateway to our Body\, Mind\, and Soul Unity. It is used to express our Energy\, improve our Self-Communication\, and enhance our daily well-being. \nThis chakra is for communicating with yourself. When you communicate with yourself\, you can also communicate with others. So interfering with or blocking it limits your ability to listen to your body. \nIn particular\, tightening your Jaw Joint stiffens your Neck and Tongue\, compromising your Posture and making it difficult to maintain the union of your Body and Mind. \nFor example\, your Jaw is a joint of two bones that function together via ligaments. Like all joints\, your jaw is supposed to be flexible enough to allow the transfer of body fluids’ energy (such as your blood) and electrical impulses between the brain and the soles of your feet. \nSo\, tightening the joint limits your brain’s functions\, especially neuroplasticity\, one of the brain’s most important abilities for adapting to change. \nAnd when you feel weakness or fatigue in any part of your body\, this feeling is actually arising in your brain\, meaning that your brain is weakened and fatigued. Therefore\, tightening your Jaw and Neck joints can reflect or cause common health issues (e.g.\, upper back pain\, loosening teeth\, headaches\, irritation\, anxiety\, etc.). \nIn this Series 3\, we will improve the brain’s function and capability by freeing your Jaw and Next Joints. In return\, this series will enhance your Body\, Mind\, and Soul Unity ! \nAlways remember that Healing Your Posture\, Heal Your Life!

SUMMARY:Walk into Summer
DESCRIPTION:Walking is part of daily life — for shopping\, gardening\, getting the mail\, or simply being outdoors. It is also one of the most accessible things we can engage in for our physical and mental well-being\, supporting comfort\, vitality and connection with ourselves and our surroundings.\n\nYet from time to time we may notice limitations\, discomfort or fatigue that lessen our enjoyment or confidence. Often we assume that walking difficulties require more effort\, more stretching\, stronger muscles\, or simply pushing through.\nSometimes walking becomes easier not through pushing harder\, but through discovering new ways of organizing ourselves in movement.\n\n• How do we place weight through the feet?\n• How do pelvis\, ribs and breathing participate?\n• Where do the eyes orient\n• How do we habitually carry effort?\n\nThese are some of the questions you will be invited to discover how they improve walkings.\n\nWhat to Expect\nLessons are done in different positions — lying on the floor\, sitting and standing. Each session typically runs 45–60 minutes. After class\, you are welcome to stay on to share reflections\, ask questions\, or simply remain with your experience.\n\nAll you need is a quiet space where you can move and explore without interruption.\n\nCan’t make it live? Recordings are sent the following day\, allowing you to revisit or experience the lesson in your own time. You are also welcome to email us with any questions after you have had a chance to explore.

SUMMARY:The Pelvic Floor System Part 3 with Deborah Bowes
DESCRIPTION:The Pelvic Floor System Part 3 with Deborah Bowes\nCoordinating Abdominals\, Hips\, Pelvic Floor and Spine \nThe lessons use breathing\, imagery\, and easy to do movements of the whole body to awaken and coordinate the functional use of pelvic floor\, as it coordinates with the abdominals\, hips\, and spine \nThis unique program has been developed by Deborah Bowes based on the research evidence showing that a healthy pelvic floor coordinates with a system of muscles including the diaphragm\, the deep muscles of the spine\, the hips and abdominals. She also draws from the teachings of Moshe Feldenkrais who described that pelvic control results from a coordination of a larger action system. \n—————————-\nSeries Dates:\nDates: June 16\, 23\, 30 and July 7\nTimes: 1-2pm ET\, with optional Q & A until 2:15pm ET\nLEARN MORE AND SIGN UP HERE:\nhttps://learn.movementandcreativity.com/product/94535/about \n—————————-\nMany students report an overall feeling of enjoyment and aliveness from these classes. \nWho is this for:\nThese novel and gentle exercises are appropriate for everyone. \nNo previous experience with the Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education is needed to participate.\nPeople of all genders are welcome. \nDancers\, equestrians or anyone with a history of back pain\, incontinence\, childbearing\, or abdominal surgeries will benefit from this approach. \nMany people have reclaimed this part of their selves through these simple\, yet deeply powerful movements. \nLEARN MORE AND SIGN UP HERE:\nhttps://learn.movementandcreativity.com/product/94535/about \n—————————-\nStudent experiences from Pelvic Floor part 1 & 2:\n“My pain in the lower back is gone.” \n“I feel so much stronger in my pelvic floor. I don´t need to pee as often as before – and I sleep much better during nights thanks to this.” \n“I feel my pelvic floor is more engaged or connected to my everyday movements. SUMMARY:Girl Integrated
DESCRIPTION:I have worked with hundreds of women through the years\, each one sharing experiences of disconnection\, objectification and pain when it comes to their own bodies. \nFor years\, I have felt called to offer a space specifically for women to compassionately witness the ways that they have learned to protect themselves — and to discover new sources of strength\, ownership and ease in both body and mind. \nThis weekly class is that space. \nEach week we will meet over Zoom and engage in a 50 minute Awareness Through Movement® lesson\, followed by optional discussion. \nPlease prepare a comfortable area for yourself on the floor where you can lie down. \nOptional items to consider: \n– A blanket\n– Something to write with\n– Garden pads (or small bolster) for head support if needed \nThis online Awareness Through Movement class meets weekly from 5pm-6pm PST over Zoom.

SUMMARY:Series 4. - Cultivate Your Positive Subconscious Mind\, reorganize your eyes\, head and feet
DESCRIPTION:In Series 4\, we will focus on breaking through our subconscious stagnation to cultivate our positive mindset.\n\nTo improve your healthy life\, your conscious mind needs to believe that you can succeed.  If negative thoughts or doubts about your success exist\, your subconscious mind can be stuck in a vicious circle. Our subconscious mind regulates our vital functions\, such as digestion\, circulation\, and breathing. So your subconscious mind is shaped by negative thoughts\, which interfere with and delay your success.  Our conscious mind exists in a part of our brain called the cerebral cortex. Its function is “reasoning ” based on past experiences and the body’s current state.  The nature of human beings is to evolve as we improve our lives and ourselves constantly. So there is every reason to heal or improve our lives.\n\nOur subconscious is formed by life experiences to defend who we are. When life experiences are all positive\, life is much easier. But all of us are here for a maturing soul; that’s why life gives us various challenges to overcome\, for the purpose of gaining wisdom and power to access infinite energy.  Being on the Earth is just like being in a school.  We are studying ourselves as being in the current life.\n\nHowever\, many of us are blinded by fear or ego\, which reduces our potential.\n\nPosture reflects our attitude and reveals our level of subconscious and awareness. In my Posture Balance practice\, my clients shared their experiences with me\, including health\, family\, and financial challenges that clouded their subconscious.\n\nSo I apply all the lessons learned to reduce the cloud and begin accessing the infinite energy in Series 4.\n\nWe can tap into our infinite potential for improving our lives in many ways.

SUMMARY:Roll\, don't Fall
DESCRIPTION:It’s the beginning of FALL season\, leaves are falling\, everything is turning\, going inward\, restoring energy in the roots\, preparing for the dormant season\, for winter.\n\nFor us two-legged beings\, falling seems to be so sudden\, unexpected\, even with possibilities of injury. Something to avoid. So we avoid contact with the ground. Instead\, maybe we need MORE contact\, and so I invite you to join the Rolling into Winter class.
