Weekly Awareness Through Movement® Group Class

An event every week that begins at 10:30am on Sunday, repeating until January 27, 2019
All levels are welcome! Immerse yourself in a unique practice that invites you to step outside your habits and explore your way to more effective, comfortable, integrated movement. Unwind the effects of a sedentary lifestyle as you challenge your brain and develop a clearer sense of yourself. Enjoy easy, well coordinated, pleasurable movement that translates into more productive work and higher quality play. All this while quieting your nervous system, reducing discomfort, and expanding your movement possibilities.
Develop a habit of seeking what you do well, being curious about challenges rather than angry or frustrated by them. Take charge of moving yourself out of pain, stress, and stiffness…into coordinated, balanced, comfortable, calm, fluid movement.
I will verbally guide you through gentle movement sequences that relate to movements you do in life, inviting you to try them in a variety of ways. You will choose the path that works best for you. You can immediately apply what you learn to improve daily activities, hobbies, sports, work, performing and creative arts.
Please wear comfortable, clothing that allows free movement such as T-shirt, warm-ups, and socks…clothing you might wear to a Pilates or Yoga class. These small classes are held in a serene environment that enables you to release unnecessary tension and turn your attention within.
