This class is an ongoing, weekly drop-in class that I’ve taught for the last 10 years.
The Feldenkrais Method® Awareness Through Movement lessons concerns itself with the learning of movement. It explores the quality and effectiveness of new movements and challenges the brain to relearn existing movement skills.
In effect, it is reprogramming the brain to optimize movement on a neurological level. Unlike strengthening and stretching exercises, the Feldenkrais Method provides participants with necessary kinesthetic information so that they can become more aware of their own movements and learn to eliminate unnecessary strain and effort.
To really understand what this class is all about and what the benefits are, you just have to try it!
